A question I asked myself before I started working here the 1st of October was would I fit in at TraceWorks, and would I feel welcome? My curiosity in the days before I started my new job was big. I came from a company with great colleges and a good social atmosphere, and therefore I hoped for the best and wouldn’t settle with less. When I now look back on my first month of employment, these are the highlights that pop into mind.
The first week was hectic with a busy schedule with introduction to the company, products and overall getting to know my new colleagues. The welcoming was good, with a structured planning on what to do next which is important for me. I think it is nice to start a new job, and feel that you are being taking care of until the time you are up and running you self. The people here were, and still are really friendly, with a good mixture of various interest and personalities.
I know this isn’t an award show, but a special thank you note to my colleague Christoffer, for the effort and time he has put into introducing me to my new job here at TraceWorks.
I am really happy to be part of this great team and look forward to a good time working at TraceWorks.
We just finished setting up a wiki for Headlight, find it at wiki.headlighthq.com.

We decided that the wiki platform is perfect for publishing all sorts of things that can aid both you and us in using and developing Headlight. In the spirit of keeping things open, we’ve kept editing and adding things to the wiki open to everyone. So if you have anything to share with your fellow Headlight users, please give it a go. Claus have already started to create an API section where he explains how to use the Headlight API. Pelle and Mads created a neat tutorial video on how to use XML data exports with Excel.
That’s just a few of the things going on in the wiki at the moment. Of course the wiki is fully integrated with Headlight, so when you click a “tell me more” link at any point, it will take you to the appropriate section in the wiki.
This position is no longer vacant!

Full-time employees receive competitive salary, paid vacation, health benefits, and a lot of excitement, fun, and love!
When you set a new account in Google AdWords you are asked about your local time zone. You are also told that you can not change it later.
Somehow a lot of our customers got stuck with pacific time which is pretty useless for companies in Europe. The obvious solution would be to call your Google representative, but (s)he will tell you that it can’t be changed.
Doing a work shop with the good people at Green People - the market leaders in the business of organic skin care I came across a way of changing the unchangeable: If you edit a campaign and turn on scheduling, you can set the time zone!

And for those of you wanting to change the time zone in Headlight: Call us and we will do it for you - no questions asked.
Recently during one of our Friday morning sessions at TraceWorks (50% bacon, 50% new ideas) we discussed the future road map of Headlight.
Obviously we get a lot of new ideas from our customers. We appreciate any new idea. Really, we do! But sometimes the ideas of customer just aren’t wild enough.
Simply because we want Headlight to go in new directions ideas discussed internally are much wilder than suggestions from customers. In these cases I don’t necessarily believe in user driven innovation:
Of what use, to Henry Ford, would have been a market survey of the pre-1914 demand for private cars?
