The Loudest News Sites of 2006

To continue in the newspaper track for just a while longer … I found this which might also be inspiring?

It’s a group of Japanese Information Architects - called Information Architects, Ltd
- who have done a pretty good job in trying to locate the loudest and most successful websites of 2006. They have a sub-category of only news sites (above).
They evaluate the sites based on performance in the following categories: Marketing, Content, Usability, Design, Behavior. New York Times (online) is the total winner and this is reason:
“… To put old school New York Times in front of slashdot might seem offensive. Well, not if you appreciate unique content and user centered design. The New York Times has become the news site with the best user interface and most love to detail. If you have seen the coverage of the elections you know what I’m talking about.”
