Battle of simplicity

I just read about Enso: A program made for those of us that use the keyboard as much as possible.
I have been a Launchy user for quite some time and found it just beautiful. It’s pretty simple: Press alt+enter and start to type the name of the program you want to start:
This is how it looks when I want to start up my almost favorite browser.
In Enso I just press caps lock and start to enter. The big difference is that with Enso I can also do some simple commands - e.g. select a file and open with a specific program or google a word from wherever I am:
I think both programs are simply great, but Enso might have that little something extra Launchy doesn’t provide.

It’s not for me … neither one.
I’m just not disciplined enough for these kind of tools - but the whole execution of the “idea” with en Enso is breath-taking; both general commutation and of course the product itself.
Having used for a couple of days, I’m a bit disappointed about the “open a file with any program you like” feature since I’m still required to use the mouse.
I’m, however, very satisfied with the “google search term” feature.
I agree with you that the way they sell it on their website is pretty close to perfect.
Seems weird that it should be dependent on using a mouse.
These are the exact same people who are advocating the advancement of interfaces… beyond our 40 year-old, rodent-inspired friend.
And granted. Not much has happened since then .
Am however looking forward to this
