I would put The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman on that list as well.
It’s off course not about marketing as such, but surely tells you a lot about (bad) design and solutions to everyday problems.
What about “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen R. Covey?
I thought you might have read it. I know, I would like to read it. I’ve heard it’s quite a good guide to help yourself.
I don’t consider myself to be “effective”. Thinking about this actually provoked me to look up the definition of “effective”, which is:
“…producing or capable of producing an intended result or having a striking effect”.
Still, I’m definitely not effective. I’m a team player. Hopefully I can produce some great ideas and perspectives and fuel the process with a little opportunism – but I honestly need other people to help produce the actual RESULT.
Well, probably a good reason for me to read it – even though I would much rather read a book called “7 Habits of Highly Effective Teams”…
